Naltrexone Request
When you choose to have a Naltrexone implant with us, there are some important forms that you will need to sign—these are the Naltrexone request documents. These are in English, regardless of whether you are coming from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Norway, or elsewhere.
Before proceeding, we ask you to consider your decision carefully. This is a serious step: your health and wellbeing depend on it. Please make sure you have read and understood reliable information about the benefits and risks of Naltrexone. Ask any questions you have and take the time you need to make an informed, responsible decision. Once you are confident and fully informed, you can move forward with the treatment.
What we provide for you (Naltrexone request):
-We explain everything about Naltrexone in clear, written form and verbally, including its effects, side effects, legal aspects, benefits, and possible risks.
-Provide sterile Depot Naltrexone implants or injectable solutions.
-We consult with you and your family, both before and after the procedure.
-Our psychiatrist (practising since 1991) and certified addiction treatment specialist (since 2005) will assess your readiness and motivation.
-Our licensed surgeon, with experience with the implants since 2007, will place the implant under your lower abdominal skin using local anaesthesia in a fully sterile surgical environment.
-We provide detailed aftercare instructions and are committed to monitoring your wound healing, progress in abstinence, and overall health following the procedure. Ongoing consultations are available throughout your Naltrexone maintenance period.
-If you wish to continue maintenance, we can reserve your next Naltrexone doses in advance.
What we expect from our patients:
-Take the time to understand Naltrexone treatment so that your decision is informed and responsible.
-Consult with your GP or other local medical professionals for advice about Naltrexone and aftercare support if necessary.
-Understand that Depot Naltrexone implants and the Depot Naltrexone injectable oil solution are non-registered pharmacological formulations. Therefore, you are solely responsible for following all aftercare recommendations to avoid possible complication. And you ought to seek medical help immediately should you experience any unwanted reactions—such foreign body reaction, allergic responses, infections, or cravings reoccurring.
-Prepare for your Naltrexone procedure:
Complete detoxification: remain opioid-free for 20 days and free from cocaine, crack, or alcohol for at least 3 days.
Confirm your procedure date and make any necessary travel and accommodation arrangements.
-Send us confirmation of your bookings so we can reserve your appointment.
-After the procedure, keep the implant site protected using sterile dressings.
Replace them immediately if they become wet or detached, under the guidance of medical professionals.
-Avoid heavy muscular activity in the implant area to prevent irritation, inflammation, or implant rejection.
-Do not consume alcohol or drugs while on Naltrexone, as this can be extremely dangerous, even life-threatening.
